Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 Tbs Cream of tartar
½ cup salt
1 Tbs cooking oil
2 cups boiling water
Food colouring (optional)
Steps:
1. Mix the flour, cream of tartar and salt in a large bowl.
2. In another bowl add the colouring and oil to the boiling water then pour into the dry ingredients.
3. Mix well then turn out onto a floured surface and knead until the dough stops sticking.
Playdough is a safe and soothing material and provides children with a great sense of security – it cannot be ‘done wrong’ and is a satisfying sensory experience.
Why not collect natural materials with your child that can be used in play with your dough. Leaves, feathers, string, shells and stones can get the imagination flowing and keep your little one entertained for hours!
